Nora is our keeper from our foundation litter, sired by our Czech import, Belmont.  She was a standout from the get-go, and she has an expression to die for.  She is a beautiful, elegant bitch and is very much a nod to her Arena Kennel (Mexico) ancestors.

 

Today, Nora is semi-retired from the conformation ring after earning her Australian Championship title; she thinks it's incredibly boring, and we don't disagree.  Nora loves to be free and run fast, so that's where we have put her...in SprintDog!  We may try her again in the show ring in a few years to see if she's changed her mind, but for now, we'll put her where she expresses the most joy.
 

As of the end of 2025, Nora has earned 5 titles across conformation and performance sports.  Her favourite pursuits are Scent Work and SprintDog, and we look forward to enjoying much more of both with her in between motherhood in 2026.

About Nora

If Nora were a human, she would be a class clown trying to distract everyone and making them laugh.  She is a hilarious dog.  

Nora is more judgmental than your Mother and is famous for her judgy looks!

Nora is more of an independent type, but when she is hormonal, she's quite sooky and enjoys a cuddle.
 

In terms of socialbility with strangers, she really does pick and choose; some people she is all over and others she looks down on as though she is the snobby girl in high school.  If you're part of her vilage then she's usually all over you!

As she approaches her 2nd birthday, she is becoming more interested in training, and her level of biddability is coming up bit by bit.  She likes to say "No" like a 3-year-old and is very much "what's in it for me".

Nora currently competes in Scent Work & SprintDog.  We may look at tricks & Rally this year, depending on where Motherhood takes her.

Nora has undergone comprehensive health testing, including:

• Hip and elbow scoring

• Eye examination and certification

• Cardiac examination and certification

• Thyroid testing (clear)

• Embark Vet DNA genetic disease screening - DM carrier

• Annual full blood panels (clear)

• Professional temperament assessment

Breeding

We are planning on breeding Nora to imported semen in 2026, she is due in season at the end of May.
