Amasa Xoloitzcuintles

Amasa Xoloitzcuintles is a small, home-based breeding program in Sydney, Australia built around a deep respect for the Xoloitzcuintle as it truly is, not as a one-size-fits-all companion breed. We only breed occasionally, so we can give our full attention and dedication to each litter.  Our dogs live in the home with us, without kennels, and are raised as part of everyday family life.

Our focus is on health and temperament that is typical of well-bred Xolos. All breeding dogs are fully health tested, and careful consideration is given to producing dogs that can be wonderful companions as well as adventure buddies.

We also believe that a well-rounded Xolo should be able to function confidently beyond the home. Our breeding dogs are dual titled, participating in both the show ring and dog sports. This helps us assess structure, soundness, and temperament in real-world settings and guides our breeding decisions.

 

At Amasa, breeding is about thoughtful choices, realistic expectations, and a genuine commitment to doing right by the dogs we live with and love, while contributing positively to the future of the Xoloitzcuintle breed.
